Artist Wayne Barlowe earned the moniker "Audubon of the Otherworld" for his mythical illustrations of extraterrestrial beings and sci-fi fantasy.
Barlowe studied fine arts and illustration at the Art Students League and Cooper Union in New York City. He apprenticed at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City, and is a member of both the Society of Vertebrate Palaeontologists and the Society of Illustrators.
With hundreds of published works under his belt, Barlowe's best-sellers include Expedition, Barlowe's Inferno and his award-winning Barlowe's Guide to Extraterrestrials.
