Daytona Bike Week is one of the world’s biggest motorcycle gatherings. Despite the name, it’s actually 10 days of non-stop bike action as around 500,000 people descend on Daytona Beach.
Main Street is the focus of all the celebrations, with lines of bikes, bars and bike fans. There are also exhibitions, stunt displays, tattoo competitions and even coleslaw wrestling.
All types of motorcycle are welcome, but most riders seem to be fans of Harley-Davidsons. At the nearby Daytona International Speedway there is a whole calendar of motorsport to entertain if Main Street gets too much – including classic races, US superbikes and the world-famous Daytona 200.
