The Honda Fireblade (or CBR900RR) was a revelation at launch in 1992. At a time when most of Honda’s rivals were producing big, heavy sports bikes, the Japanese company was using a new concept in design.
The idea was simple: to develop engine and chassis together and end up with the perfect package – and it worked. The result was a compact, lightweight machine with 125bhp on tap and formidable handling.
The Fireblade has stayed in production in various guises until today, but the latest model is an all-new redesign called the CBR1000RR.
