J.W. Hart began riding at age four and won his first buckle at five. With both parents and a brother also involved in bull riding, J.W. is an authentic American cowboy. Now 30, this Oklahoma 'Ironman' has plenty of gold buckles at home, but he doesn't have the coveted PBR World Champion gold buckle... yet.

J.W. has a reputation for riding hurt. Last year, he competed in the World Finals with a broken leg and currently, he's nursing a nagging hip injury that sometimes leaves him doubled over in pain. But he didn't get his nickname by giving up. A 12-year PBR veteran, J.W. has participated in 197 consecutive events, and he still holds the record as the only guy to qualify for every single PBR final. Quitting is not an option for J.W., he’s committed to winning the World Title.

And speaking of commitment, J.W. will make another one soon. Viewers meet his fiancée, LeAnn, a rodeo singer who dreams of making it big in Nashville. Together they work on J.W.’s ranch where he has managed a successful cattle operation for 11 years.
