The pioneers of the sea come from all kinds of cultures and backgrounds. But they all have one thing in common; amazing individual stories of bravery, endurance and expertise.

From the life of a 14th century Chinese eunuch to the modern-day inspiration of Ellen MacArthur’s record-breaking career. From the man who discovered America by accident to the inventor who contributed more to maritime technology than any sailor.
