At the age of 16, AJ Reed attempted suicide by shooting himself in the head with a twelve gauge shotgun. That split-second decision was to change everything. The blast ripped through AJ's face, missing his brain by millimetres.
Against all odds, he survived, and somehow, he managed to turn things around. As surgeons reconstruct his face in a series of cutting-edge operations, AJ attempts to re-build his life. Today, five years after his suicide attempt AJ is a motivational speaker, using his experience to connect with troubled teenagers, trying to prevent others from going down the same road.
This is the amazing story of how AJ’s long journey toward recovery finally led him to his inner peace.
