We recently ran a Chop Shop competition for all you modding maniacs, and asked you to send us any photos you had of your own customised cars. Fortunately for us, it was down to Chop Shop's very own Julian Gudgeon to go through the hundreds of the brilliant entries and pick his top three - it was a tough job!
We let the winners know they'd been chosen, and have rounded up some more pictures of their creations for you, as well as some answers to our car modding questions.
Winner - The 'Royal Nail' Escort Van
Full Name: Mark Blackburn
Years you've been modding: 13
Favourite Chop Shop car: The Golf for Johnny Vegas
If you could mod any car, what would it be?: I like cars that look understated but can see off most so called super cars so it would have to be something odd that i haven't seen done before. something like a limmo of herse
2nd place - The V8 Escort
Full Name: G Preston
Years you've been modding: I have worked on the Escort for the last 12/15 years, as a hobby in my spare time. Last year I joined "Old Skool Ford" and they asked me to bring the car to the Ford Fair Show at Silverstone. The car when down very well - so much so that Classic Ford came over and wanted to do a feature! In August of '08 I was over the moon to find out that I had made the front cover. Classic Ford then had a puplic vote in February '09... and I won! It's going to be fun this year, and that's what it's all about.
Favourite Chop Shop car: The David Ginola Beauty and the Beast car
If you could mod any car, what would it be?: V8 in a Mini! That's just got to be done.
3rd place - E30 BMW Pick-up
Full Name: Rickie Atkin
Years you've been modding: I got into modding when I was 15, starting with my Talbot Sunbeam, which went from strength to strength.
Favourite Chop Shop car: The Ginola car
If you could mod any car, what would it be?: Anything that a customer would want done, really!
