Summary
Pullo is a ferocious lover of life, possessing the courage and loyalty of a warrior, but the morality of a pirate – he’s a man of huge appetites and wild passions. Impulsive, unreflective, optimistic, conceited, generous, and brutal. A foot soldier with Legio XIII Gemina, the legendary 13th Legion, Pullo is focused on wine, women and food. Although he disagrees with much of what Lucius Vorenus does, Pullo stands by his friend. His character is named in Julius Caesar's account of the war in Gaul.
Facts
The character is loosely based on the historical Pullo, although he is depicted as a legionary - not a centurion - under the command of Lucius Vorenus, and as belonging to Legio XIII Gemina and not to Legio XI.
