Odyssey Marine Exploration Inc. (OME) is the world leader in the field of deep-ocean shipwreck exploration. Founded in 1994 by industry pioneers John C. Morris and Greg Stemm, Odyssey is a public company (NasdaqCM: OMEX) which uses innovative methods and state-of-the-art technology to conduct extensive search and archaeological recovery operations around the world. Greg Stemm is currently Odyssey's Chief Executive Officer following John Morris' retirement in January 2008.

Odyssey's Principles

Odyssey believes good business and sound archaeological practice can co-exist and thrive together, and that the treasures and the knowledge recovered from the deep ocean should be shared with the world. Odyssey is also firmly committed to establishing and maintaining excellent relationships with local governments and authorities. An example is Odyssey's groundbreaking partnering agreement with the British Government for the archaeological excavation of HMS Sussex, a British warship sunk in 1694 off the coast of Gibraltar.
