TECHNICIANSMeet Brett Hood: Surveyor
After starting out as a deck hand at Odyssey Marine Exploration, Brett Hood soon worked his way up to surveyor.
A former circus ringmaster and piano tuner, Brett spends a great deal of time playing the guitar and attempting to play violin and piano.
When he’s not offshore, this talented musician enjoys rebuilding his antique Steinway.
Meet Paul Money: Senior ROV Technician
Known on the sea as 'Papa Money', Paul Money began his seagoing career as a 16-year-old bellhop on the old passenger liner RMS Queen Elizabeth.
He went on to serve as a marine radio officer for 21 years and later transferred to the subsea industry, where he has been operating and maintaining ROVs for the last 24 years.
A highly experienced technician and engineer, Paul joined Odyssey in 2004.
His most memorable moment was piloting the ROV Zeus onboard the Odyssey Explorer during the discovery of the famous 'Black Swan' wreck.
At the time his son, Tom, was also on watch as a data logger. Paul says that to have shared the discovery with his son was an amazing experience.
Meet Kris Allen: Survey Technician/Navigator
Kris Allen was recruited out of a marine geomatics programme to work for Odyssey in April 2006. Leaving school early to seize this opportunity, Kris was required to complete a major project while on his first stint at sea and even achieved honors in the program.
Having worked for a number of years in the Purcell Mountains as a ski instructor and repair technician, Kris is an avid skier and ardent hockey fan.
He enjoys fishing and sailing with his wife aboard their cedar-plank boat.
A guitar player, Kris makes sure to always have one of his guitars with him when he is on the ship.

David shares his home with his pet rabbit, Cadbury.
